I told Flower-power about the three lost dogs that needed new homes urgently.

Flower-power explained that her cat had just had two kittens and there was no room for any more pets at her place.

‘Try old Mr Bratwurst across the street,’ Flower-power suggested. ‘He was talking about getting a new dog last week when I saw him at the Spring Flower Show.’

We knocked on old Mr Bratwurst’s door.

‘Hello, girls,’ Mr Bratwurst said.

When we explained why we were there he said that he was very pleased to see us.
